Job Description:

Assigned to the Human Resources/Risk Management Division, the Management Analyst performs complex, hands-on work in the areas of Human Resources, Risk Management and Emergency Management. This diverse position is perfect for professionals looking for a challenging fast-paced environment. The Management Analyst provides critical assistance to the Human Resources/Risk Management Administrator and manages assigned programs independently. The Management Analyst is responsible for administrative, operational and analytical duties in support of the Division's programs. These programs include safety education, benefits administration, employee onboarding, staff training and development, emergency and disaster preparedness, incident/claims investigations and administration, employee relations, recruitment, classification/compensation, community outreach, risk transfer and coverage verification, wellness and many other exciting programs. Located in south Orange County, Rancho Santa Margarita is a master planned community of approximately 50,000 residents. The City, which incorporated on January 1, 2000, is consistently named as one of California's safest cities. Parks, trails, community centers, and recreational opportunities help the City maintain its motto, "A small city with the soul of a small village." Rancho Santa Margarita operates as a contract city and currently has 23 full-time and 10 part time employees. City Departments include: City Manager, Finance, Community Services, Public Works/Engineering, and Development Services.

Requirements:

Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance will be considered. Example Combination: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in Public or Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Risk Management, Emergency Management or closely related field; and three years of professional experience in either Human Resources, Risk Management, or Emergency Management.
