Healthy Schools Act – Integrated Pest Management Training

According to the Healthy Schools Act (HSA) of 2000, it is mandatory for any individual handling pesticides to complete a minimum one-hour training course approved by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR). This requirement applies to a wide range of products, including disinfecting wipes, sanitizers, and weed-killer, in addition to traditional pesticides. Our online learning management software provider, Vector Solutions, offers a DPR compliant course, California Integrated Pest Management (EDU) that can be assigned to any district employee using pesticides on campus. For any inquiries regarding the Healthy Schools Act, the training course, or the Vector Solutions platform, feel free to contact Scarlett Sadler.
