Cal/OSHA Hearing Conservation Course

Cal/OSHA Hearing Conservation, the third and final course in the Cal/OSHA series, is now available for assignment on the Vector Solutions platform. This course covers the specific training requirements identified in the hearing conservation standard and will teach learners how to work safely in areas with loud noise exposures that could cause hearing loss. This course also teaches how noise affects a person’s hearing, the different types of hearing protection and how to use them, and maintenance and care procedures. New Blog Post: California Limits Cannabis Drug Testing (AB 2188)

Signed by Governor Newsom during the 2022 legislative session, Assembly Bill 2188 (AB 2188) amends the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) to prohibit an employer from discriminating against a current employee or applicant for the use of cannabis off the job and away from work.
 
This bill becomes effective January 1, 2024, and will require public agencies testing for marijuana use to make changes to their drug testing policies and procedures.. Read more about the amendments on the Blog.
