Cyber Awareness Month and Cyber Symposiums
October marks the beginning of Cyber Awareness Month, and in an age dominated by digital advancements, safeguarding sensitive information and bolstering cybersecurity has become paramount for public agencies. Cyber Awareness Month serves as a reminder for public agencies to stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Agencies can use this month to educate their employees and stakeholders about the importance of cybersecurity. PRISM is hosting two free Cyber Symposiums in Northern and Southern California for the Risk Managers, CIO's, and CTO's in our membership: Travel, lodging and meal reimbursement will be provided for up to 3 attendees per Member. For questions about the symposiums or registration, please reach out to Karen Somers.

In addition, PRISM staff has also created some resources to help your agency become more cyber aware:

Cyber Smart: Phishing Risk Simplified
Cyber Smart: Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Risk Simplified
Cyber Smart: Vendor Impersonation Fraud and How to Avoid It
